This is a Tenipuri RPG

Tenipuri Fusion is a general Tennis no Oujisama/Prince of Tennis RPG based on the series by Konomi Takeshi. This game was created by yaoi lovers, but we are also het and yuri friendly.

This is a livejournal RPG, where, for the most part, characters make journal entries. There will also be interactions that are put into story logs and posted for the everyone to read.

The premise: since this RPG has been running for some time, new details have been added.

Nine years ago...

On the night of the Seigaku/St. Rudolph match, a fire started at Rikkai Dai Fuzoku Junior-High. It swept the school complex, destroying all the junior and senior facilities in the process. With two thirds of the school in ashes, the school board made a decision. Groups of Rikkai junior and senior students was divided amongst the different schools of the region in order to continue their studies.

Since Rikkai was a club-driven school, the board decided it would be necessary to keep all the sports clubs together, and therefore each sport club was given a different school. Due to an expansion to its facilities that Seigaku underwent during the Spring Break, they had chosen to transfer the tennis club to Seigaku. This decision was made quickly and the students are informed the next day. The 'mergers' began the second day after the St. Rudolph match.

The question of where the students would stay whilst visiting the other schools arose. The parent-teacher committee agreed that host families would be the best solution. As the families of those students in the Seigaku tennis club were already aware of the training the boys endure, it was suggested that the tennis club families would host those Rikkai students also in the tennis club. One student per household. This suggestion was welcomed with open arms by the board.

Seigaku's expansion included additional indoor and outdoor tennis courts. The locker and shower rooms had also been increased in size. Despite this, training sessions proved to be a little cramped.

In order to monitor the effect of the temporary merger on the student's psychs, the board instructed each member of each sports team in each school to start a journal. These was monitored for warning signs.

This, of course, made other tennis teams curious to see just how well Seigaku and Rikkai would manage...

Eight years ago...

A year after the devastating fire, a new boarding school has been built. Named Seikai (青海, lit.trans: Blue Sea), it shall be home to all original Seigaku and Rikkai students - they are no longer two separate schools. The juniors find themselves in rooms of three or more, the seniors in doubles and those in their final year have their own rooms. Clubs also undergo a major reshuffle, now the previous third years from Seigaku and Rikkai tennis clubs are now freshmen again, ruled over by one man, Yamato Yuudai...

At the same time, students from schools which do not have a high school department find themselves needing some place to go. There are also rumours that some students want to switch school regardless they already attend schools that have high school departments. Will they go to Hyoutei, Seikai, or elsewhere?


Seven years ago...

The transition seemed to go well; new bonds have been formed, new friends have been made, and Seikai's tennis teams are on top. Canon first years are now third years, most everyone else has continued on to high school to face the Spartan treatment of Captain Sanada Genichirou and Vice-captain Yukimura Seiichi. Former Rikkai and Seigaku team members find themselves fighting for their place on the regulars, and the competition is fierce. Meanwhile, the other high schools will have a tough time building a team that can defeat the growing monster that is Seikai.

6 years ago...
Not much has changed - canon first years are now high school first years, and canon third years are well on their way to graduating high school and moving on. Under the excellent care and harsh training menus provided by captain Sanada Genichirou and vice-captain Yukimura Seiichi captain Yukimura Seiichi and co-vice-captains Kirihara Akaya and Oishi Syuichirou, Seikai high school is dominating the national circuit. However, times are changing - many students in their final year will be quitting the team to focus on their studies and university entrance exams, or taking their chances at going pro. How will their team mates cope? How will they cope? Only time will tell.

Now...
Six years have passed since many characters graduated high school. Now they've grown up; some have jobs, some have gone pro, some are finishing up their university studies, while others are focusing on raising families. Some have been very successful, others have yet to find their true calling in life.

Everyone is doing their own thing. They may or may not have kept in contact with their old friends, and may or may not be actually living in the country. In order to keep up with the lives of their friends (or rivals), they've chosen to dust off those online journals they kept so diligently in their teenage years. What will come of it? Will new friends be made? Will old flames be rekindled, or new flames flicker to life? Will old grudges and rivalries finally be set aside? Will new career opportunities arise? How well can a group of lovely ladies and young gentlemen in their early-mid 20's get along? It will certainly be interesting to find out!

Because this RP is heavily locality-based (everyone sees everyone at some point or another, most go to the same schools), please be aware that we are currently not taking applications for students from Higa Chuu or Shitenhouji (IE, too far away to go have coffee with one of our Tokyo-Kanagawa boys without the use of an airplane or a very long train/bus ride) - we are willing to make exceptions, of course, if you can give us a very good reason your chosen character would be there.

Because of the timeskip and the fact that all characters are now adults, people are far more likely to have moved around (or be able to get around much more easily) and as such, characters from Higa and Shitenhouji will now be considered applicable characters.
